The start of a new week. I am feeling not so refreshed today but hopefully tomorrow I will so I can get a good workout/run in. I did end up doing 4 runs last week the final one on friday being almost 3 miles. I have about 10 lbs till my prepregnancy weight and 14 to goal weight. seems really far away. Maybe by christmas? that would be great.
Oddly enough for me, I have been craving PROTEIN shakes. I used to make them with the chocolate protein, almonds, milk and ice in college while I trained and they were like a treat. But after a run, that is really what sounds good to me.
This week my goal is to do 4 days again, 2.5-3 miles each time of running plus some walking. Maybe I will start some weights or other training as well.

2 more months
This is how it went.... I woke up tired. I didn't want to move. But I knew that if I didn't go then, I wouldn't go at all (like yesterday). So I got up, passed the kids on to Brian, put on those running shoes and headed out the door. I went and wanted to stop, again I pushed on and was able to run 2.1 miles again. It feels good to be home and not only because of the run but because I was able to shower and get a little freshened up before momma duties called again. So I feel great and that is now 3 days this week - can I get one more day of running in?? I will try for tomorrow cause Saturday just aint happening. But all in all, with walking and running I have clocked in over 7 miles this week.
So here is the 8 miler I will be doing in November, the 27th to be exact. The Dallas turkey trot on Thanksgiving morning. I have 2 months to prepare. I hope that is enough time, well it has to be.

feeling little-er
I took the kids out on the running stroller in the heat. BLAH. And although NAtalie got sick of it after a while I did get 1 mile of a run and 1 mile of a walk in before I had to stop and let Natalie walk and play at the park. Better than nothing!
I feel better today. I feel a change. I know that sounds silly but I do feel a little skinnier. Maybe it is cause I am trying to eat less as well. But of course my weight remains the same.
But right now this feeling of "skinny" wether real or not is motivvating me to go out today again. I want to fit into those jeans and all my other clothes, including my shirts and not have rolls sticking out or over my pants. can you say MUFFIN TOP?? I just hope the weather cools down though or else I might die!

AGAIN
IS anyone reading this? I dont even care. I need to write. I am fat. I have no confidence. I dont exactly have the motivation to work out. I need it and I want it. So again another week is starting tomorrow and so I am re-telling myself that I will run, or at least go do something active outside/at the gym. what I dont know, hopefully get a little run in there though.
I am still planning on the turkey trot here in November which is an 8k. So that is my goal and I have how long? 2 months to get there. So I have to start or I will not be able to do it.
After that? My friend is doing a triathlon in April and I want in. I miss my little blue(bike) and I miss the water. I miss getting off my bike and getting jello legs and running. I miss loosing control of my swim and getting in last to the transition. I miss it! I love it. So I am doing it. I will probably start with a sprint but if training gets good... maybe another Olympic is in my future. we shall see. But for now I will concentrate on getting out the door.
I invested in a GREAT running stroller. A BOB to be exact and I love it. It moves awesome and I took it out for a stroll with the kids today for an hour and loved it. Now I need to test out those shocks and do some running. Even if it is just a mile right?
ahhhhhh a new week. I WILL DO IT THIS TIME.

Fallen off the band wagon
I fell hard. I fell off before I even really got on. I worked out for 2 awesome days 2 weeks ago and I havnt gone back. Why is that? I have good intentions everyday and I even told a friend I would do a race with her this next Saturday but of course because of my laziness I cant participate without killing myself I am sure. ahhhhh I get motivated and feel great and then it all goes to the wayside. I did make delish fresh chicken tacos for dinner tonight though. Chicken, avocados, lettuce and cheese. YUM! And pretty healthy right?! Beats the chicken pot pie I almost made!
So tomorrow is a new day, hope is goes better and I really do make it to the gym, at least put my running stroller together and go for a walk!

On again Off again
This week is going to be an on again week for me. Anyone else want in on the ON week? I challenge everyone to do just one thing different this week to be a little better, a little healthier, a little closer to their goal. This week I will start again going to the gym, my goal? 3 days of running - 4 would be great, 5 awesome! I took the last 10 days off for sailing and then getting back into life, but no more excuses. This is my week! It really sucks to go out and not only feel super fat but have someone ask you how far along you are..... to try on clothes that you already think will be too big and have them be tight. All of these are so frustrating and nothing that makes me happy. So I will do it, be healthier this week. You gotta start somewhere, Again!

What gets me going
.jpg)
My top 10 motivational tips for working out:
1. get a work out partner- I would go with Brian but of course babysitting is for 6 months and older. For now my Ipod will be my partner.
2. We are dishing out the funds for the gym, I better be using it to make that debt worth it!
3. Tell everyone you are working out. If I tell Brian or anyone else for that matter I am working out, I feel like I am weak and letting them all down if I dont do it.
4. Change the routine. I always get excited to go workout if I know I will be trying something new. Working out a new part of my body, joining a class, swimming today instead of running, or trying drills of some sort.
5. Dont get negative. If you think it will be hard to do legs that day or to go that extra mile and you just dont want to deal with it... Just do it and remember the feeling of completing something and finishing a good hard workout. I love a good hard work out and sore muscles the next day.
6. Feeling good about yourself. You workout for a week and even though you dont look different, you think you do, but regardless, you feel better about yourself. Before you know it, you do look different!
7. Some will expect you to quit, prove them wrong. It always feel good to be right, so when you know people think you wont or cant do something, do it and prove them wrong! (or just beat them in a race!)
8. This blog, it is like a journal. I can keep track of my progress or just knowing I got out and did something that day to stay active. If I cant write something positive about working out that day, I didn't do what I should have.
9. All those benefits. Sleeping better, losing weight, Better mood, improved immune system, More energy, less stress...
10. Keep your goals in site. Whether that be a weight loss goal, or a race coming up, know what your goal is and work towards it. For me, my first goal is competing in a 8 mile race on Thanksgiving this year.
11. I have to add this one, I love uploading my NIKE plus onto the computer. Seeing that Chart have lines all over it and see my progress is really fun and rewarding!
Anyone else got good motivation?

We are all in it to win it
We all need motivation, and a healthy lifestyle.
Here is the blog to make it happen: The good, the bad, the ugly's of working out, eating right, living a healthy life, health tips, healthy recipes, and sometimes just to vent(I will probably be doing this more often than not).
I am trying to loose my baby weight from pregnancy #2. I know most people are trying to either reach a goal of being healthier, competing in a race, or to lose some weight and I think we all need some support with whatever it is.l
So to kick it all off here... I am sitting here tonight eating my steak and baked potato, so the starchy potato isn't the best option, but it is better than fried right? I started working out today for the first time in over 6 months and I feel great. I have a headache, but I know my body will thank me and I will feel better because of it. As of today, nothing stood in my way to work out and I ate pretty healthy, on a scale of 1-10 10 being healthiest possible, I probably accomplished a 7. I went 3 miles in total and did some strength exercises. I feel good. I am proud of myself today. We will see how tomorrow goes!
